L is the 50th publication of Cuadernos de la Kursala an editorial project curated by Jesús Micó that produces and exhibit the work of contemporary photographers, that became on of the most influencial platforms in the photobook culture at Spain.
The project was born as a celebration of the 50th publication of La Kursala, and the book design embodies the radical changes that this editorial project caused in the syntax of the contemporary photobook as editorial format. From the amateur-likeness of the plastic comb binding, to the fluid “L” that return to us a strange reflection of the standard “learning” signage, all the elements of the book are pointing out the independent and experimental nature of the publication.
