Autoplacer is an independent collective based in Madrid whose aim is to defend and promote music self-publishing in Madrid, becoming one of the most authentic platforms in the underground music scene of the city. Their principal channel is the curating, design, production and communication of the Autoplacer Festival, held yearly at CA2M Museum.

For the 2012 edition of the festival, looking for an alternative independent look, the design was based on handmade lettering improvisation embodying the experimental soul of the festival. Due to the underground nature of the project, rooted to the city of Madrid and its periphery, the background of the posters were photographs of precarious construction structures and materials.

During the design process a custom lettering was proposed as the header of the festival poster and over the years this lettering became the collective main logotype.
