Archivos de la Comunidad de Madrid is the public institution responsible for preserving the documentary heritage, archives, and collections of interest in the Community of Madrid.

Working with the concept of an archive is always challenging. The nature and boundaries of archives are constantly evolving, especially in this digital era. Therefore, we aimed to create an identity that conveys an abstract concept of archive, capable of withstanding the test of time and the rapid changes in archival practices.

As a result, the concept for the logo was inspired by the structure of a “list of tags,” a button-like list format popular in the 2000s on early blogging platforms. However, the logo design simplifies these early web buttons into a clean graphic grid, positioning the identity within a contemporary institutional context.

This project was designed at 3TG Studio.
