Rizoma is a unique international festival for its way of combining cinema with art, music, and other disciplines, built around changing concepts that serve as the backbone of the programming.

In 2012, the Rizoma festival needed a new visual identity and to reflect its experimental and playful spirit, a logo based on basic geometric shapes was designed. The typography resembled the early modernity of Bauhaus but with a more mischievous and alternative intention, closer to Milton Glaser’s 1970s alphabets.

For the 2013 edition, the festival chose the concept of “trans” to convey the entire program, and a secondary identity was designed to combine it in a small brand architecture exercise. That year, the festival’s guest of honor was David Lynch.

This project was designed by Luis Vassallo at 3TG Studio.
