Díaz & Pons publishers created the Modelos para armar collection with the aim of bringing to a wider public renowned academic voices on politics, economy, history and sociology. Born in a political polarisation time this editorial collection tries to move closer the essay to a more legible format in order to “arm” the public with the best possible thinkers to resist social degradation.

The graphic design of the collection came out as a renewal of the classic graphic language of book cover design of the 60’s, as a reenactment, a “call to action” to a public debate.

Working along with the editor Antonio Díaz, each cover arose from a visual correspondence in which the editor proposed an old photograph or an engraving and then by playing plasticly with this image, created a more accurate visual icon to represent the ideas inside each publication.
